The symbolism in ordinary moments and objects feels much more obvious in these times. Children have an incredible way of expressing their feelings, not necessarily in words. When I saw my daughter creating this ‘scene’ I wondered for the first time whether she was more anxious than she was letting on… or perhaps I was just staring at my own anxiety.
