Here we are, day in and day out. We lack a private workspace for all five of us. And we don’t have an eat-in kitchen. For breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I’ll clear all the school work, laptops, the extra lamp for Zoom light, the overloaded outlet, scrub the table, and finally eat together. And sometimes we say, to the hell with it, push away a plate-sized clearing and carry on with buttered toast.
