Turning 40 in lockdown

I turned 40 this year, during lockdown. I spent this day quietly at home (the thought of having to throw a big party for the big birthday was kinda stressing out my introverted self a little bit anyway), getting lots and lots of cuddles from my little one, working in the garden, and lots of lovely messages from friends and family across the world.⁠ And even though a lot of celebratory trips this year got cancelled because of the pandemic, it was the best birthday because there were no expectations. I’m so thankful for that.
